Chase hero spotlight: Taranis the Bolt Regent

What happened

Update 0.59 brought Events and Tournaments, and with them the first chase: the Taranis Chase. It started the week after the 7 July update and ran for 3 weeks. Players earned Crown Crowns from the tournaments inside it, with double points during the chase, and spent them in the Event Shop on Taranis the Bolt Regent. Update 0.60 later fixed Taranis’s Ultimate, Pulse Singularity.

Our take

• Shock on a timer. The Ultimate spawns a Shocksphere for 10s that hits every second. Shocked enemies can’t move or use Skills and take 125% damage.
• Two big debuffs at once. Skill 3 hits up to 10 enemies with 100% ACC Down and 40% ATK Down for 16s.
• Debuffs fuel the Ultimate. Skill 2 gives 25 Ultimate Mana per debuff on the target (up to 500), and its crits cut Skill 3’s cooldown by 5s.
• Sturdy for a Ranged. Top HP and DEF among the 8 Legendary Ranged.
• Where Taranis shines: S in Arena and against Koltmos, A on most other lists.
