Althar
Althar is beyond ancient – the kingdom he ruled when he was mortal predates even Serenity's War, and it is said that he was the one to teach Malice the art of necromancy, over a thousand years ago. For that crime alone, Althar deserves a true death – but, of course, as a mighty lich and a Herald of Malice, he is twice immortal. Time will certainly never claim him. But you might.
Do
- Bring Block Revive
- Use Invokers or Relics with Fatigue and Crush Tolerance
- Deal with Althar’s minions
- Bring high DPS and high Move SPD – Althar teleports around the area, so you need to keep on top of him
Don't
- Waste time. This battle is a race – you need to lay Althar to rest before his army gets too large
- Ignore the minions.
- Neglect Move SPD. Althar will be continually Pushing and Launching your Invokers away from him, so you need to be able to reposition quickly
- Spread out. Stick to Althar like glue, as he teleports to the Invoker furthest away from him
What it does
Gains 10s of Invincibility every time a Bleed lands on him. Never bring Bleed.
- Shadefall
- Hits everyone and adds a Fatigue stack per hit (0.5% max HP every 10s, -2% Move SPD each).
- Realmbreak
- Two launches, the second throwing targets 10m for 3s. Move SPD gets you back in.
- Necrocall
- Summons alternating waves of Undead (up to 2 Minibosses and 10 Minions) and casts a 7s Crush.
- Lifereap
- Teleports to your furthest Invoker, pushes them 11m and casts a 15s Crush. Keep the team together.
- Deadraise
- Revives every minion and heals them to full with double ATK. Its cooldown doubles each use, so Block Revive and Hex win the race.

Full boss briefing
At this very moment, he works a great spell using the souls of all those who have fallen to the many schemes of the Knights of Malice – and those who have fallen to your blade as you try to stop them. Koltmos believed this spell could free Malice.
See how well Althar can work his magic once all his brittle bones are broken.
